Eating consciously

'You are what, what you eat' - A famous quote
'You are what, what you drink' - A funny quote by a monk showing a picture of Buffalo.

Of course, most of our eating habits we adopt from our family traditions and in a way throughout our childhood and boyhood we were just feeding what our mother gives to us, the functions we attend and friends we move with. Even then I know many cases where many of the kids were very reluctant to take the meat because of its horrible texture and dread appearance. But still their guards oblige to consume it so that they will survive with strength and vigor or else they will become weak in mind and physique. So in this way most of us brought up accumulating this sin without even having knowledge about it.

But as we grew up to adolescence, many of us free to think and free to chose the way we live and chose to follow certain things in life. With this conscience in mind, few develop a hatred to this established act of eating meat and the source of it - 'Slaughter houses'. This is most obnoxious and heinous setup man created in the human society. Killing some millions of cattle every day in the name of 'Factory Farming'.

Yaksa  asked - What is most wonderful thing in this world ?
Yudhidtara replied : The most amazing is that even though every day one sees countless living entities dying, he still act and thinks as if he will live forever.

The same moral we can adopt here - The most amazing thing in this world is though people know that the meat is the product of murder of a poor living creature, still they like to have it in every meal and every snack in their day. And those who addicted to it gives a countless arguments that fit to their logic, which in itself turned so hard and complex after titillating and satisfying their tongue with those murdered meat.

In History many races and religions solely depend on the food grains, fruits and milk and in turn they had better health with superior physique and peaceful ambiance. We can refute the habit of meat eating from every corner with careful assertion - logically, morally, environmentally, financially, ethically, socially and ultimately spiritually.

There are several websites in support of turning to vegetarianism  and they give a content in detail about each of the mentioned reason above. Interesting  reader can do some 'turning a page' stuff if they like to learn more. Many famous people who excelled and stood as a epitome in their respective fields, turned to vegetarianism after understanding the need for it from the established barbaric way of eating and many of them even made it like a movement to influence and educate the people.

With very tiny reasoning almost everyone can comprehend this subject and can change their lives and let live the other creatures which god created to balance this universe. The very act that every one can do is trying to teach and enlighten their friends and family members. This is the one of the greatest service or help that one can do to their loved ones.

I heard the wonderful glories and importance of worshipping Radharani in order to get the pure love of Krsna. Wonderful kirtan and great feast followed as usual.

Importance of Go-ghrtha (Pure Ghee)

While searching for the advantages of ghee usage, I came across a website by Peter Malakoff http://www.petermalakoff.com/. In this website, peter extensively gave the details of his journey in search of absolute truth. It linked to his blog-site where he detailed his hitch-hiking and meeting different people. His journey in India is truly worth reading. Seem like he is interested in stories and poetry.

Now he is writing a book on Cow ghee.

Lets wait and see.
